STT Bangkok 1 Data Centre Achieves Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility from Uptime Institute

Bangkok, Thailand - 16 June 2022: ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Thailand) or STT GDC Thailand, a leading carrier-neutral data centre service provider, announced that the company received the Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF) for its STT Bangkok 1. The achievement was conducted through a thorough assessment of all aspects of STT Bangkok 1's facilities and operations by the Uptime Institute, the globally recognized benchmark for data centre reliability and effectiveness.

STT Bangkok 1’s data centre campus is purpose-built for hyper scale clients wishing to scale up their services. Strategically located in central Bangkok, STT Bangkok 1’s total gross floor area is 30,000 sqm with IT load of 20 megawatts. The TCCF demonstrates that STT Bangkok 1 has been constructed according to design and verifies that it can meet the performance and reliability requirements for continuous operations. In addition, each item tests isolated equipment involving structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fuel pumps, networking, cooling, and more construction process to prove zero impact to IT operation and it does not allow shutdowns during maintenance or replacement.
