ESG Our Progress A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT AND GROUP CEO Growth with Purpose: Powering a Sustainable Digital Future Bruno Lopez President & Group CEO A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT AND GROUP CEO Growth with Purpose: Powering a Sustainable Digital Future MORE In today’s hyperconnected world, data centres are the backbone of the digital economy, empowering businesses, communities and individuals to thrive. At STT GDC, our commitment goes beyond supporting digital growth — we are dedicated to advancing the industry by placing sustainable and innovative solutions at the heart of our operations. In 2024, we made significant progress towards our 2030 carbon neutrality goal. We expanded our use of renewable energy to 78.5%, surpassing our targets, boosted energy efficiency and deployed advanced technologies. We became the first data centre operator in Singapore to transition our backup generators to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and we partnered with Phaidra to pilot AI-powered cooling optimisation — the first such initiative in Asia, setting a new industry benchmark piloting this in a hybrid cooling environment. Our dedication to sustainability also shapes our financing strategy. We launched a landmark S$500 million Sustainability-Linked Perpetual securities issuance — making it the first Singapore dollar-denominated SLP, the first public benchmark SLP in Asia and the first perpetual security issued by a pure-play data centre operator globally. Building on this momentum, we set even more ambitious environmental targets within our enhanced Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework in August 2024. Beyond environmental progress, we are committed to our people and our communities. In 2024, we achieved a safety incident rate of 0.1 and invested an average of 23.5 training hours per employee, by fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning. As we continue to grow, we do so with a strong sense of purpose and a steadfast commitment to sustainability. I invite you to join us as we power a sustainable digital future together. Across Asia, the more pressing question is whether they are equipped to run it reliably at scale. As AI shifts from experimentation into operational use, competitive outcomes are being shaped less by ambition alone and more by the infrastructure, operating models and specialist capabilities that support deployment in production. This is where the next divide is emerging.
