Singapore – July 27, 2021 – ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), a leading data centre service provider headquartered in Singapore, today announced that its STT Tai Seng 1 data centre has been selected by DE-CIX as an enabled site, giving STT GDC’s customers access to its award winning Apollon platform. This enables DE-CIX, as the world’s leading Internet Exchange (IX) operator, to expand its regional reach in Southeast Asia and increase the range of network and interconnection services STT GDC has to offer its customers.

With over 130 data centres in seven markets, STT GDC takes a customer-centric approach to tailor its solutions to match the varying deployment needs of its customers. DE-CIX provides premium interconnection services and operates close to 30 carrier and data centre-neutral Internet Exchanges worldwide.

The collaboration between STT GDC and DE-CIX will grant customers access to an industry-leading selection of high quality, low-latency local, regional and international interconnection options. The launch of the DE-CIX Apollon platform gives customers full access to the DE-CIX interconnection services and Cloud Exchange. Among others, these services offer peering across Southeast Asia, virtual private connections between DE-CIX enabled sites, and direct private access to major cloud providers – all from a single physical access in STT Tai Seng 1.

“We are excited to embark on this collaboration with DE-CIX, which will be key in delivering on our mission to be the gateway to key markets for both colocation and connectivity,” said Clement Goh, CEO - Southeast Asia, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. “The partnership will enable us to offer our customers an increased range of connectivity options to choose from, particularly the signature services DE-CIX has to offer. STT GDC will also be able to help DE-CIX expand its reach across the region with our extensive regional network. We will continue to strive towards providing more innovative and versatile solutions to help our customers leverage the cloud and tackle new challenges ahead.”

“We are happy to be partnering STT GDC in this endeavour in our bid to deliver the best interconnection services and capabilities to our customers housed in STT Tai Seng 1,” said Ivo Ivanov, CEO of DE-CIX International. “We are working closely with STT GDC on advancing the IX capabilities of their data centres across the Southeast Asian region, as both companies continue to expand their capabilities and presence over the coming decade. Our customers, keen on expanding within the region, can tap into STT GDC’s vast regional network and commitment to operational excellence – both of which were key factors in our decision-making process. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with STT GDC as we ramp up for the years ahead.”
