Manager / Senior Manager, SAP COE

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As Manager / Senior Manager, SAP COE – SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), you will serve as the group‑level Subject Matter Expert (SME) and design authority for SAP Analytics Cloud across the enterprise. You will own solution integrity, data accuracy, performance, security, and governance of analytics and planning solutions delivered within the SAP COE. 

 

This role combines strong SAC functional expertise with hands‑on technical troubleshooting, supporting a hybrid COE–AMS delivery model.

 

  • Act as SAP Analytics Cloud solution owner within the SAP landscape, accountable for end‑to‑end design integrity, data models, stories, planning models, and integrations.
  • Provide expert guidance and quality assurance on all SAC‑related changes, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring alignment with COE standards, architecture, and governance.
  • Safeguard management‑critical reporting and planning solutions by reviewing designs, challenging non‑standard approaches, and approving final outcomes.
  • Lead complex incident and problem resolution for SAC, including incorrect management reports, planning failures, and performance issues, driving root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Act as a techno‑functional SME, combining strong analytics and planning knowledge with hands‑on troubleshooting of data models, calculations, data actions, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee SAC integrations with SAP S/4HANA, Datasphere, flat files, APIs, and non‑SAP data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and traceability between SAC and source systems, supporting audit and management assurance.
  • Define and enforce SAC governance covering access, roles, transport, lifecycle management, and documentation.
  • Review and optimize SAC solutions for performance, usability, robustness, and maintainability.
  • Mentor and coach internal team members and functional analysts to build in‑house SAC capability and reduce vendor dependency.
  • Partner with Finance, IT leadership, Basis, Security, and other SAP tower leads to ensure robust cross‑system integration and data consistency.
  • Support audit, risk, and compliance requirements by providing clear controls, evidence, and explanations related to analytics and planning.
  • Any other tasks as assigned. 
Requirements
  • Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of SAP experience, with strong hands‑on focus on SAP Analytics Cloud (Analytics and Planning).
  • Proven experience designing and supporting executive dashboards, operational analytics, and planning models.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures, preferably Finance and controlling.
  • Experience with SAC integrations, data modelling, calculations, performance optimization, and security.
  • Experience in SAP Group Reporting is an added advantage.
  • Experience operating in a COE or hybrid AMS model, with strong vendor‑management capability.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Independent, disciplined, and strong in documentation and knowledge institutionalisation.
