New data centre will support Singapore’s digital economy ambitions through advanced infrastructure, green energy pathways and ecosystem development SINGAPORE, 21 August 2026 – ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) today announced that it has been selected by Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) under the second Data Centre Call for Application (DC-CFA2) to develop 50MW of new data centre capacity in Singapore.The proposed data centre is designed to support advanced computing and artificial intelligence workloads while contributing to Singapore’s strategic, economic and sustainability objectives.STT GDC is committed to building AI and advanced compute-ready infrastructure with energy-efficient technologies, green energy pathways and investments in innovation, talent and ecosystem partnerships. The new facility is intended to support Singapore’s continued development as a trusted and resilient hub for AI, digital infrastructure and international connectivity.The development will incorporate advanced technologies including liquid cooling and energy-efficient IT equipment and is intended to meet Green Mark for Data Centres Platinum certification requirements.
