SIO TAT HIANG

Chairman

Mr Sio Tat Hiang is Chairman of the Board of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) in Singapore. He is also Chairman of the Board of STT GDC in India, Vice-Chairman of the Board of GDS Services, Board Director of U Mobile and Advisor to STT for certain of its portfolio companies.

Mr Sio was Executive Director of ST Telemedia (STT) where he successfully led the company's transition to a new digital future. Under his leadership, STT strengthened its ecosystem by expanding into emerging enterprise tech and re-entering the data centre sector with the formation of STT GDC. A key member of STT’s founding team, Mr Sio played a vital role in laying the company’s strong foundation for long-term growth.

Prior to STT, Mr Sio had served in various senior roles at Singapore Technologies, including corporate finance and investment management.

Mr Sio graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours from the former University of Singapore, and completed the Senior Management Programme at London Business School in the UK.

LIM MING SEONG
LIM MING SEONG

Director

Mr Lim Ming Seong serves as Director on the Board of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He is also Chairman of CSE Global and First Resources and sits on the Boards of ST Telemedia, StarHub and U Mobile.

Mr Lim was with Singapore Technologies from 1986 through 2002, where he left as Group Director. Mr Lim brings with him extensive management, accounting and technical expertise.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) with a major in Mechanical Engineering from University of Toronto, Canada, and a Diploma in Business Administration from the former University of Singapore. Mr Lim also participated in the Advanced Management Programmes conducted by INSEAD and Harvard Business School.

LIU CHEE MING

Director

Mr Liu Chee Ming serves as Director on the Board of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC)He is Managing Director of Platinum Holdings, which he founded in March 1996.  He also serves on the Boards of Haitong Securities, OUE Hospitality REIT Management, and OUE Hospitality Trust Management. Mr Liu is also an Independent Supervisor of the Supervisory Committee of Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties.

Mr Liu has over 30 years of experience across the financial services sector and has an extensive network of contacts in the media industry.  His financial and strategic expertise and experience of working with major corporations and businesses globally is an invaluable asset to the Board.  He is a member of the Takeovers Appeal Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel of the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong.

Mr Liu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the former University of Singapore.

LIM AH DOO

Director

Mr Lim Ah Doo serves as Director of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) and chairs STT GDC’s audit committee. Mr Lim also chairs the Boards of Olam International and Singapore Technologies Marine. He sits on the Boards and chairs the audit committees of STT GDC in India, and GDS Services. Mr Lim also sits on the Boards of ARA-CWT Trust Management (Cache), GP Industries, Sembcorp Marine, Singapore Technologies Engineering and U Mobile.

During his 18-year distinguished banking career in Morgan Grenfell, Mr Lim held several key positions including chairing Morgan Grenfell (Asia). He also chaired the Singapore Investment Banking Association in 1994. From 2003 to 2008, he was President and then Vice Chairman of the RGM group, a leading global resource-based group.

Mr Lim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Honours) from Queen Mary College, University of London, and a MBA from Cranfield School of Management, UK.

STEPHEN GEOFFREY MILLER
STEPHEN GEOFFREY MILLER

Mr Stephen Geoffrey Miller serves as Director on the Board of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC).  He is also President & Group Chief Executive Officer of ST Telemedia and is a member of ST Telemedia’s Board of Directors. 

Mr Miller joined ST Telemedia in 2005 and has held various senior positions including Chief Financial Officer, and President & Chief Operating Officer. Before joining the company, Mr Miller was ST Telemedia’s Financial Advisor on the combination of its data centre business with Equinix and Pihana Pacific, creating the world’s largest carrier-neutral data centre network

Mr Miller has more than 25 years of global investment, financial management, strategic planning and CMT industry experience.  He spent over 14 years of his career in investment banking with Credit Suisse, primarily heading its telecommunications and media group throughout Asia and the Pacific.

Mr Miller holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, with First Class Honours in Economics and Finance, from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

STEVEN TERRELL CLONTZ
STEVEN TERRELL CLONTZ

Director

Mr Steven Terrell (Terry) Clontz serves as Director on the Board of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He is Senior Executive Vice President, International at ST Telemedia (STT) where he is responsible for stewarding the company’s global investments.

Mr Clontz is a well-regarded veteran in the telecommunications and media industry with over 40 years of industry experience. He has held a variety of senior executive positions including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of StarHub, President and CEO of IPC Information Systems., based in New York, and President of BellSouth International (Asia-Pacific). As StarHub’s CEO from January 1999 to December 2009, Mr Clontz served on the company’s Board as non-executive Director from January 2010 till 15 July 2015 when he was appointed Chairman of the StarHub Board. During his 11 years at the helm of StarHub, Mr Clontz led the company in a number of major milestones including the transformation of StarHub from being Singapore’s third mobile player in 2000 to a fully-integrated “quad-play” service provider in 2009; merging StarHub with Singapore Cable Vision in 2002; bringing StarHub public in 2004 on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange; and advancing StarHub’s market position to become Singapore’s second largest mobile operator in 2005, the same year that it became profitable. Mr Clontz is also a Director on the Board of Level 3 Communications and chairs its Strategic Planning Committee. Mr Clontz also sits on the Boards of Armor, Cloud9 Technologies, PSA International and Virgin Mobile Latin America.

Mr Clontz graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1992 with a Physics degree.

Bruno Lopez
BRUNO LOPEZ

Group Chief Executive Officer & Director

Bruno Lopez is Group Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, growth and development of the STT GDC group.

Bruno joined ST Telemedia (STT) in June 2014 to head the STT GDC business at its inception. Under his leadership, Bruno has led STT GDC in its strategy to build a large portfolio of integrated data centres across a global platform which today boasts a compelling portfolio comprising more than 90 data centres - STT GDC in India and Singapore, GDS in China, VIRTUS Data Centres in UK, and more recently in Thailand. Bruno sits on the Board and chairs the Executive Committees in all these companies.

An industry veteran in the telecommunications and data centre sector with more than 25 years of experience, Bruno was Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Keppel Data Centres where he was instrumental in leading the company’s growth and business expansion in Asia and Europe. He was also responsible for setting up Securus Data Property Fund, an investment fund focused on data centre assets in the Asia–Pacific region, Europe and the Middle East, which was eventually merged with Keppel Data Centres’ assets as part of the company’s SGX REIT listing.

Bruno holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s from Rutgers University, USA.

Bruno Lopez

JONATHAN KING

Group Chief Operating Officer & Head of Investments, STT GDC

Mr Jonathan King is Group Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investments of STT GDC Pte Ltd (STT GDC). In this role, he is responsible for leading the growth of STT GDC into new regions in addition to managing the existing portfolio of investments. Since joining STT GDC, Mr King has been leading the establishment and expansion of STT GDC’s high quality platforms in China, India, Singapore, UK and Thailand.

Prior to joining STT GDC, Mr King was instrumental in the formation and operation of Securus Data Property Fund (Securus) where he was co-CEO. Securus was an investment fund that developed a portfolio of high quality data centres across Asia Pacific and Europe. This business has since been listed on the SGX as Keppel DC REIT (SGX: KDCREIT). Prior to this, Mr King was an Associate Director at Macquarie Bank focused on real estate investment banking.

Mr King has over 20 years of global investment experience in the data centre, finance, real estate and engineering industries. In the data centre space Mr King has led over US$3.0bn of transactions since 2011.

Mr King holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Honours) from the University of Sydney, Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Finance and Investment from Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). Mr King is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

NELSON LIM

Group Chief Financial Officer, STT GDC

Nelson Lim is Group Chief Financial Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC).  He is responsible for the overall financial planning and management of the STT GDC group.

Prior to STT GDC, Nelson held various leadership roles in Dell at the country level (Singapore and USA), regional and global levels, where his last appointment was Finance Executive Director, Dell Global. During his 14 years with the company, Nelson oversaw financial controllership and investment strategy, as well as organisation restructuring and transformation. Prior to Dell, Nelson held financial and business leadership positions at Hewlett Packard and KPMG.

Nelson is an Accountancy graduate from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a certified Chartered Accountant.

Daniel Pointon
DANIEL POINTON

Group Chief Technology Officer, STT GDC

Dan Pointon is Group Chief Technology Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He has overall accountability for the design and delivery of all our construction projects.  Dan works with our partners and global platform companies to ensure we deliver consistency in our approach and product in all geographies.

Dan also heads our Technology team to ensure STT GDC is best position to respond to the global mega-trends such as Edge and Internet of Things (IoT). Dan’s technology team also lead our efforts in areas of design innovation, energy policy and environmental strategy.

Dan’s career has included over 20 years in the consulting engineering sector spanning Europe, Asia and Australia. Prior to joining STT GDC, Dan was a Partner and Regional Director for consulting firm Hurley Palmer Flatt where he spent 13 years leading the firm’s delivery in the data centre sector. 

With a background and passion in mission critical engineering, Dan brings a new level of design and construction expertise to the STT GDC global platform. 

Dan graduated from University of Adelaide in Australia, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree (with Honours).

CLEMENT GOH

Chief Executive Officer, Southeast Asia, STT GDC

Clement is Chief Executive Officer for Southeast Asia of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). In this role, he is responsible for our Southeast Asia data centre operations which includes both Singapore and Thailand.

Clement most recently served as Managing Director for Equinix South Asia where he was responsible for the overall performance of the Singapore IBX centre and the partnership in Indonesia. He was also instrumental in setting up the sales office in India. Prior to Equinix, Clement was Senior Sales & Marketing Director, APAC, for Datastream. Additionally, he has held numerous leading positions in global multi-national technology companies including McDATA, EMC Singapore, Oracle Systems Singapore and Agilent.

Clement holds dual Master’s degrees from University of California, Los Angeles’ Anderson School of Management and National University of Singapore’s Business School, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical with Honours from the National University of Singapore.

Neil Cresswell is Chief Executive Officer of VIRTUS Data Centres since April 2013. Under his leadership, VIRTUS has grown rapidly from one data centre of 3MW to the third largest UK data centre provider. Neil is instrumental in transforming VIRTUS into one of the most innovative and fastest growing data centre providers, serving customers including leading global organisations in the financial services, technology, media and education sectors.

With over 25 years of experience in the data centre, technology and banking industries, Neil has built successful, high growth, profitable businesses with a reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. Prior to VIRTUS, Neil held roles in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US including BNP Paribas, IBM and Fiserv. He was Managing Director of Savvis’ EMEA region and the global financial services sector.

Neil holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies from University of Westminster and is a graduate of the Henley Business School Advanced Management Programme.

Sumit is Chief Executive Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) in India. In his role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, leadership and continued growth [in India].

Prior to his current role, Sumit was Chief Executive Officer of Tata Communications Data Centers (TCDC) and held various senior positions at TCDC’s parent Tata Communications, including head of solution sales for data centre services.

At the forefront of innovation in the regional data centre market for close to three decades, Sumit held leadership roles in organisations including Cisco, Microsoft and Brocade. Prior to Tata Communications, Sumit served as Director for Solutions Sales at Microsoft and was responsible for driving solutions sales for Microsoft’s Cloud business and Application platform. At Cisco, Sumit was responsible for driving the overall data centre solutions business in India.

Sumit holds a Master’s in Management from XLRI Jamshedpur in India. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Gulbarga University in India.

Wiliam founded GDS in 2001 and is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Under his leadership, GDS has grown to be the leading developer and operator of high-performance data centres in China, serving over 400 customers, many of which are leaders with dominant position in their respective industries. William also played a key role in GDS’s successful listing on Nasdaq.

Prior to founding GDS, William held various senior positions including Senior Vice President at Shanghai Meining Computer Software, Vice President at Ego Electronic Commerce, and General Manager at Shanghai Huayang Computer.

Chief Executive Officer, STT GDC Thailand

Supparat is Chief Executive Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) in Thailand, a joint venture between Frasers Property Thailand and STT GDC. In his role, he is responsible for the data centre operations and growth of STT GDC in Thailand, including our flagship hyperscale data centre in Bangkok to launch in 2021, where he brings along strong expertise in leading business growth transformation enabled by both technology and new business models to support the Thailand 4.0 vision. 

Supparat also holds the role as Chief Digital Officer of Frasers Property Thailand, responsible for the company's digital transformation strategy. Supparat has over 20 years of experience in the data centre and technology sectors, where he most recently served as a Chairman for BBIX (Thailand), a subsidiary of SoftBank Group, and Chief Executive Officer for True Internet Data Center, where he was instrumental in driving the revenue growth of the businesses in Thailand and Myanmar, and had also held positions of  Chief Product and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, he has spent over 12 years with Thomson Reuters, holding numerous leading positions.

Supparat graduated from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Head of Mergers and Acquisitions & Head of Investments, India, STT GDC

Nicholas Toh is Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and Head of Investments, India of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He is responsible for leading investments into new regions as well as having overall responsibility for STT GDC’s investment and performance of STT GDC India. Nicholas has been integral to the growth of the company since its inception in 2014.

Nicholas has over 15 years of global investment experience in the data centre, finance and real estate industries. In the data centre space, he has executed over US$3.0 billion of transactions since 2011. Prior to joining STT GDC, Nicholas was Senior Vice President, Investments, and he was instrumental in the formation and operation of Securus Data Property Fund (Securus), a data centre investment fund focused on data centre assets across Asia-Pacific & Europe. Prior to this, he was at Macquarie Bank (Sydney) where he worked on both Macquarie’s Real Estate Funds Management business and Banking & Financial Services Group in-house M&A team.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor degrees in Business & Economics from University of Queensland, Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Finance and Investment from Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).

Head of Investments, China and New Markets, STT GDC

Rebecca Ng is Head of Investments, China and New Markets of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). She is responsible for the management of STT GDC’s investment in China and the growth of the company into new emerging markets. Since joining STT GDC, Rebecca has been instrumental in the NASDAQ listing and growth of GDS as part of STT GDC’s data centre portfolio in China and spearheaded its investment into Thailand.

Rebecca has more than 13 years of experience in the data centre and real estate sectors. Prior to STT GDC, Rebecca was VP of Investments at Mapletree Industrial Trust. Earlier in her career, Rebecca held several roles at Keppel Data Centres and her last appointment was the Head of Portfolio Management for Keppel DC REIT Management. During her tenure with Keppel Data Centres, Rebecca was responsible for the acquisition and management of the data centre assets in Asia and Europe. Key achievements include the establishment of Securus Data Property Fund (Securus), a private equity fund focused on data centres in Europe and Asia as well as the successful IPO of the combined DC portfolio of Keppel Data Centres and Securus as Keppel DC REIT, the first data centre REIT listed in Asia. 

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University with a specialisation in Banking and Finance and is a CFA® charterholder.
